So I was so excited about doing the whole Ravelympics thing until two days into my project. I mean don't get me wrong I am so a team player and a hard worker when it comes to getting things done but in my everyday life I work and when I come home to knit it is my time to relax with no deadlines and pressure (unless it is during Christmas time). So, on Day 2 of working on my Ravelympics project I felt horrible. I mean the idea of just knitting to get something done on a deadline just killed it for me...no joy...no bliss. What did I do to myself??? So now I have decided that after this Ravelympics I will choose to not to join. I will continue be the team player and supporter to all of those who will compete. I do this on a daily basis at work so why not continue to be a suppoter and team player for all of you who will race to the finish line?
So with that out of the way. I was able to finish two hats. One is for a dear friend and the other was for me. I knitted the friend hat out of the Weekend yarn by Berroco and the hat for myself was knitted from the Cascade Alpaca. It was the same yarn that I used for my fetchings so now I have a matching set to go out in the cold in.
Yes! Stiches is coming this week and I have printed out all of my patterns. I still need to decide what yarn I will purchase for my cardigans and if I am going to buy some buttons while I am there. Stay tune for more info after Stitches!

Last week I thought I would try my luck and take a class on Entralac. I had a great teacher so it made it easy. I was going to make a scarf but my goodness do you know how many more projects I want to work on including getting my second Cedar leaf done before Stitches? Well, instead I made a cowl and it looks terrific!

Last Sunday I was able to finish and block my new shawlette. It is so beautiful and it looks stunning. I am so in love with it that I have casted on another one in a different colorway but with the still same silky merino fiber. Now on to find a new project for the Olympics..hmmm...choices there are so many to choose.
